Course Details
Bricklaying L1: trowel skills, standard constructions with bricks and blocks, decorative brickwork, stonework, hard landscaping, paving, theory, H&S; CSCS card. Stonemasonry L2/L3: conservation, restoration or construction; work experience on site at Woodchester Mansion; 60 hours work experience; practical work graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. Stonemason L2 apprenticeship: banker masons produce finished stone components; install/conserve natural stone.
Duration
Stonemasonry L2/L3 full time: 07/09/2026-02/07/2027. Stonemasonry Standard L2 apprenticeship: 24 months. Introduction to Bricklaying L1: 07/09/2026-02/07/2027.
Entry Requirements
Stonemasonry Standard L2 apprenticeship: apprentices without level 1 English and Maths (GCSE 3/D) will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and Maths (GCSE 4/C) before EPA.
