Course Details
Level 1 Diploma modules: Principles of Building Construction, Information and Communication; Contribute to Setting Out and Building of Masonry Structures Up to Damp Proof Course; Carrying Out Blocklaying Activities; Carrying Out Bricklaying Activities; Carrying Out Cavity Walling Activities; Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction. Introduction course covers fundamental bricklaying techniques, measuring and marking, basic wall construction, tools and equipment, health and safety.

Entry Requirements
Level 1 Diploma: GCSE Maths and GCSE English at a grade 3 as a minimum. Internal progressers must have successfully completed an Introduction to Construction qualification. Introduction to Construction (Bricklaying): GCSE Maths and English Language at a grade 2. Safety boots with steel toe caps and hi-vis vest required in workshops.
