Course Details
Level 3 apprenticeship: mix of workplace learning, day-release college training; qualifications Construction – Bricklaying plus Essential Skills Wales Communication, Application of Number and Digital Literacy Level 2 (GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above can exempt Communication and Application of Number). Foundation Level 2 is City & Guilds Foundation in Construction and Building Services Engineering with practical Brickwork & Civil Engineering. Level 1 Award is a practical bricklaying and tiling course. Construction Academy is at Pencoed Campus.

Entry Requirements
Level 3 apprenticeship: Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying; GCSE standard (A*–D) and employment supporting the qualification. Foundation Level 2: minimum of grade D at GCSE in both Maths and English/Welsh First Language. Level 1 Award: no formal entry requirements; interview with course tutor; own safety boots required.
