Course Details
Level 1 units: health, safety and welfare in construction; knowledge of technical information, quantities, and communicating with others; knowledge of construction technology; construct block walling; construct brick walling; construct cavity walling; setting out for basic masonry structures; mix construction materials. Assessment throughout the year at the end of each unit via practical observations and theory question papers. PPE required in practical sessions.
Duration
1 year. Intake: September only.
Entry Requirements
Level 1: 3 GCSEs at grade 9-3 (including Maths and English Language) OR GCSE 9-3 in Maths & English Language and a Pass on the L1 Diploma in Preparation for Employment in the Construction Industry.
