Course Details
Level 1: handling and storing resources, work relationships, work platforms, preparing materials and components for bricklaying, using components and materials; English and maths; work experience. Assessed under simulated working conditions plus externally set exam. Apprenticeship: 24 months; at least 20% of time in college; EPA multiple-choice test, interview underpinned by portfolio, practical assessment with questions.
Duration
Level 1 Diploma: One year. Apprenticeship: 24 months. Craft Bricklayers L3: Two years.
Entry Requirements
Level 1 Diploma: no specific entry requirements; committed to working towards GCSE English and maths at grade 3 or above if not already achieved. Apprenticeship: for best chance of success, minimum of grade 4 (C) in English and maths.

FEES & FUNDING
Level 1 Diploma fee quoted £999 (one year). Age 16-18 normally free. Age 19-23 and 24+: could be free - eligibility criteria applies. Advanced Learner Loan: not applicable to this course.
