Course Details
Level 2: cavity walling, masonry structures such as arches, solid and cavity walling, isolated and attached piers, interpreting working drawings, thin joint masonry and masonry cladding. Brickwork for Beginners: mix mortar, lay bricks, measuring/levelling/aligning, tools and safety; Tuesdays 17:30-20:30.
Duration
Level 2 Diploma: one year (starts 07/09/27 ends 30/06/28). Construction Skills L1 Certificate: 21/09/26-02/07/27. Beginners: short evening blocks (e.g. 22/09/26-01/12/26).
Entry Requirements
Level 2: successful completion of the Level 1 course and GCSE English Language or maths at grade 3.

Level 2 Diploma: 07/09/27 (per course page). Construction Skills L1 Certificate: 21/09/26. Brickwork for Beginners: 22/09/26; 12/01/27; 13/04/27.
FEES & FUNDING
Level 2 extra costs: course contribution fees currently £125; steel toe capped boots and overalls. Beginners: free if in receipt of benefits or earn less than £25,750 per year (includes pension income); all materials provided.
