Course Details
NQ Pre-Apprenticeship (Falkirk only): block walling; one brick and half brick walling; hard landscaping; workplace H&S; employability; construction operatives; construction methods; access platforms; occupation practices; principles of building design; sustainability; construction maths; communication; IT. MA Brickwork offered to employers (fully funded training). Online: theory of foundations, walls, blocks, brickwork patterns, mortar, finishes, sustainability, drawings. Evening: beginner practical bricklaying and paving.
Duration
NQ Pre-Apprenticeship: full-time from 24 August 2026 to 11 June 2027 (My World of Work listing of FVC course). Evening: 6 weeks, 28 October 2026 to 02 December 2026, 18.00-20.00.
Entry Requirements
NQ: minimum of two National 4s in English and Maths or Maths Craft 1 (Applications of Maths applicants must pass a maths skills test); alternatively relevant Construction qualification such as FA or NPA; industry experience considered; selection via group selection event. Evening and online: no formal entry requirements. Online applicants must reside in Scotland.
