Level 1: theory knowledge modules underpinning skills in a simulated working environment, aimed at school leavers and those re-engaging through practical construction qualifications. Level 2: health and safety; storage and handling; communication methods; estimating material quantities; knowledge of building technology; setting out masonry structures; construction of cavity walls, solid walls, arches and timber frame cladding; Functional Skills (English, Maths or IT). Assessment via assignments, portfolios, multiple-choice end tests, online tests and practical synoptic tests.
