Course Details
Study programmes start with a Level 1 Certificate or Level 1 Diploma then progress to Level 2 and Level 3 T Level. Alternatively students can transfer to an apprenticeship in year 2. Level 2 theory assessed through examination; practical assessment continuous with a synoptic assessment in the summer term. Apprenticeship EPA: knowledge multiple-choice exam; skills simulated practical tasks; oral assessment around workplace portfolio.
Duration
Level 1 and Level 2: 1 year. Level 2 Apprenticeship: 18-24 months. Craft Bricklayer Apprenticeship: 18 months (LogonMoveOn listing).
Entry Requirements
Level 1 (LogonMoveOn listing): 3 GCSEs at Grade 9-3, including English and Maths; BKSB assessment. Level 2: 4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4; BKSB assessment. Level 2 Apprenticeship: over 16 and employed in the industry developing bricklaying skills. Craft Bricklayer: successful completion of Level 2 Bricklayer Apprenticeship/Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Bricklaying AND GCSE Grades 9-4 including English and Maths.
