Course Details
Level 1: seven units of underpinning knowledge and practical models to industry standards including H&S, principles of building, block walling, brick walling, cavity walling. Level 3 Craft Bricklayers Diploma. Level 3 Craft Bricklayer Apprenticeship typically monthly starts through the academic year. Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction) for students who have completed a Level 2 Bricklaying qualification and are currently working in the bricklaying industry; Gold Card on completion; optional units selected to work role.
Duration
Level 1 2026/27: 07/09/2026 to 23/06/2027. Level 3 apprenticeship: 18 Months (per apprenticeship page). Level 3 NVQ: 08/12/2026 to 29/07/2027 part time (per NVQ page); duration responsive to work commitments.
Entry Requirements
Level 3 Diploma: successful completion of a Level 2 Bricklaying qualification or formal interview and skills assessment (per Level 3 page). Level 3 apprenticeship: typically GCSE (or Level 1 equivalent) at grade 1/E in English and Maths (per apprenticeship page). Level 3 NVQ: previous bricklaying experience; students must be currently working in the bricklaying industry (per NVQ page).
