Course Details
Harrowbrook is home to construction, trades and logistics including a brick and block work area. Level 1 covers basic bricklaying techniques, skills and terminology. Level 2 covers more specialised bricklaying skills and industry working practices. Bricklaying apprenticeship listed as Harrowbrook/Workplace; employer vacancy training plan described block release one week in college at Harrowbrook in every six-week learning cycle.
Duration
Full-time college courses: 1 year (per PS16 listing for Level 1). Apprenticeship: two-and-a-half-year structured model described in college case study (five weeks on site and one week in college).
Entry Requirements
Level 1 Bricklaying: GCSE grades of 3 or above in English and maths or equivalent (per PS16 listing).
