Course Details
Diploma units include health and safety, principles of building, producing thin joint masonry, building solid walls, constructing cavity walling, and interpreting drawings. Multi-Trade Construction Level 1 also available. Apprenticeships mix practical workshop work, interactive theory and on-site evidence; Level 2 college one day a week for two years; Level 3 one day a week for approximately 13 months. New £1.95 million Brickwork Centre (completed 2025) with practical workshop, individual work bays and industry-standard equipment.
Duration
Full-time diplomas: 3 or 4 days, around 15 hours per week. Level 2 apprenticeship: two years. Level 3 apprenticeship: approximately 13 months.
Entry Requirements
Apprenticeship: grade E/Level 3 or above in English and maths. Functional Skills in English and maths at Level 1 and/or Level 2 depending on GCSEs.
