Course Details
Introduction to Stonemasonry: two-day practical course covering tools used to cut and dress natural sandstone blocks; taking a stone out of twist; production of a true flat surface; surface tooling finishes including broached, droved and stugged. Taught by time-served stonemason. Learners can take away practice stones. Venue Merryhill Training centre, KY12 3DR, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Entry Requirements
Introduction to Stonemasonry suitable for all abilities; designed for little or no experience in cutting and dressing natural stone, contractors on traditional stone buildings, or semi-skilled operatives adding masonry skills. Requires C1 & C2: No.
