Course Details
Free 3-week Construction Skills course run by St Andrew's Resource Centre at the Education & Training Hub, Alexandra Road, Dublin Port. Official January 2026 leaflet lists modules including Block laying, Manual Handling, Safe Pass, Abrasive Wheels, Working at Heights, MMC Essentials, Carpentry, Plumbing, Plastering, Decoration, NZEB, and QQI Level 3 Certification. tehub.ie (2026) states recruiting now for the free 3-week Construction Skills course and a 10-day Level 4 retrofitting addition for graduates. Taoiseach Micheál Martin marked over 4,000 graduates (September 2026); curriculum reports include Introduction to Block Laying (onsite).

Entry Requirements
All participants must be at least 18 years of age, unemployed, legally allowed to work in Ireland, and have a reasonable standard of spoken English. No prior construction experience is required (per January 2026 leaflet).
