UHI North, West and Hebrides

Fort William and Portree full-time NPA: practical experience across construction sectors delivered by practising tradespeople, including bricklaying, brickwork, blockwork, plumbing, carpentry and joinery, roofing and electrics. Schools NPA at Dornoch Academy, Stornoway Campus and Thurso Campus: four units focusing on basic hand skills across Brickwork, Bench Joinery Skills and Decorative Painting. One Brick Walling unit: select and use tools, equipment and materials; read simple construction drawings; build different types of brick walls, laying mortar beds and pointing joints.
