Course Details
WWETB Training Services lists the Craft of Brick & Stonelaying among craft apprenticeships (brick/stonelayers build interior and exterior walls; laying of bricks and stone in solid and cavity walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys and other structures). National brochure: Phase 2 delivered in Training Centre (20 weeks) covering brickwork, blockwork (solid and hollow), cavity walls and chimney breast construction; Phase 4 and Phase 6 delivered in educational colleges (10 weeks each).
Duration
Minimum 4 years provided all phases are successfully completed. National brochure: Phase 2 20 weeks; Phase 4 10 weeks; Phase 6 10 weeks.
Entry Requirements
At least 16 years old. Grade D in five subjects in Junior Certificate or approved equivalent; OR successful completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship; OR three years’ work experience gained over sixteen years of age in a relevant designated industrial activity.
